The first thing you are going to want to do is fill a pan with enough water that it will cover your eggs with at least an inch to spare; once you have done this, you can bring this water to a boil. Once you have the water boiling, you can drop your eggs in, after which you will immediately want to lower the heat to a simmer, and will want to cover the pan; allow the eggs to sit in the water for 10 minutes – increasing this time to about 12 minutes if you like your hardboiled eggs a bit tougher, and decreasing the time to between 6 and 8 minutes if you are wanting a soft-boiled egg. When you are making Swiss mac and cheese, of course, the first thing you are going to need is some macaroni elbows; rather than buying over-processed macaroni, however, shell out an extra dollar or two for the fresh, organic macaroni, as this will go a long way in making your meal a much healthier one.
